Regional Coordination Committee (RCC) Meeting
Theme: “Enhancing Access to Justice for Children and Women: Best Practices in Child-Friendly Procedures and Preventing Gender-Based Violence”
About the Event:
The Center for Domestic Violence Prevention (CEDOVIP), in collaboration with the Judiciary and the Justice, Law and Order Sector (JLOS), is organizing an RCC meeting to strengthen Uganda’s justice system. The event aims to promote child-friendly procedures and effective responses to gender-based violence, enhancing access to justice for vulnerable groups.
Key Objectives:
- Strengthen child-sensitive justice and protection services.
- Promote rehabilitative and child-friendly approaches in the justice system.
- Foster inter-agency collaboration to address the needs of children and women affected by violence.
Partners:
The Judiciary, JLOS institutions, CEDOVIP, and other stakeholders will come together to ensure a collaborative approach to justice system strengthening.
Expected Outcomes:
- Adoption of actionable commitments to strengthen child-sensitive justice.
- Improved RCC functionality for effective implementation and monitoring.
