Open Court Sessions

CEDOVIP in collaboration with Child and Family Protection Department, and JLOs partners will conduct open court sessions in two communities in Kampala. These include:

  • Makerere 3-Sebina Zone: November 28, 2024
  • Kamwokya 2 Zone: December 3, 2024

 

These sessions aim to:

  • Deepen community members’ understanding of violence against women and
    girls/IPV.
  • Increase awareness of available services and support options.
  •  deepen community members knowledge on the procedures for reporting cases to
    various law enforcement institutions.
  • Encourage community members to report VAWG/GBV cases and build trust in the
    legal system.
