Every year, from 25thNovember which is the International Day for the Elimination ofViolence against Womento 10thDecember, the International Human Rights Day, Uganda joins the rest of the world in commemoratingthe 16 Days of Activism campaign against gender-based violence (GBV). The 16 Days of activism campaign has been used as an organizing strategy by individuals and groups around the world to call for the elimination of all forms of violence against women byraising awareness about gender-based violence as a human rights issue at the local, national, regional and international levels.
