Training manual for judicial officers on Gender Based Violence in Uganda.The manual is a 2018 priority product of team effort from CEDOVIP, Staff from Judicial Training Institute and UN Women Uganda. The manual is a much needed tool for the capacity building of judicial officers on GBV to enable GBV survivors/victims to access justice and to hold perpetrators accountable for their actions. CEDOVIP role is to provide technical support to the Judicial Training Institute to review its training manual for judicial officers on Gender Based Violence.
The module is divided into six (6) modules aimed at building knowledge, influencing positive change in attitudes and building skills for judicial officers on handling GBV cases within the criminal justice system in Uganda. Pre- test and validation of the draft manual is scheduled for the month of October coordinated by the Judicial Training Institute.
