Intensifying VAW prevention activities at community level

During the 16 days of Activism, CEDOVIP will intensify VAW prevention SASA! Together Start phase activities. These will include:

1. Poster facilitation led by community activists: This initiative involves the use of
posters featuring real-life experiences of social interactions between men, women,
young girls, and children. Each poster is accompanied by guiding questions on the
back, designed to direct discussions towards topics such as violence against women
and girls (VAW/G), power dynamics, the consequences of VAW/G, and the benefits
of non-violence.

The poster facilitations will target men and women in various public places such as markets, garages, churches, drinking joints, and neighborhoods. Key activities will include:

  •  Power Posters: Visual aids to stimulate discussions and reflections.
  •  Community Conversations: Open dialogues within the community.
  • Leadership Leaflets: Informational materials to guide community leaders

Community activists will lead over 170 VAW prevention activities in Kampala.

2.Public events:
Join us for a series of village-level public events in Kampala Central and Kawempe
