Benjamin is passionate about women’s rights, social justice, climate change and governance, he holds a bachelor’s degree in development studies from Uganda Christian University Mukono, Post graduate diploma in project Planning and Management from Uganda Management Institute, certificate in fundraising and grants Management from MS-Training centre for Development Cooperation Arusha-Tanzania, Certificate in leadership Ms-Training Centre for Dev’ s Cooperation Arusha.
He joins CEDOVIP with work experience of over 7 years of social justice, human rights, children’s rights, climate justice, public and political accountability, VAW/G and VAC programming. He has also contributed to building the capacity of various CBOS, and NGOs in Teso and Acholi in the areas of programming and fundraising, institutional strengthening and Advocacy.
Benjamin has competence, skills, knowledge and experience as trainer/facilitator in the application of various social development methodologies including SASA! SASA faith and SASA together as key methodologies for VAW/G prevention, Policy development and advocacy, campaigns on gender equality, stakeholder relations, financial management, monitoring and evaluation.
He has previously worked with Uganda Red Cross Society, ActionAid International and Action Aid Uganda, Trocaire Uganda, that have nurtured his professional competence and activism and advocacy work. Currently Benjamin is member of the steering committee of Girls Not Brides Uganda, The National Partnership to End Child Marriages where CEDOVIP is member.
