Richard Makumbi

Richard has a Diploma in Social Work and Social Administration from the Makerere Institute for Social Development. Richard is responsible for skills building and providing on-site and distant technical support to the local governments ( the Community Development Officers) in the 8 districts of Busoga to prevent and respond to VAW and HIV in their communities.

Richard formerly worked with Kamwokya Christian Caring Community in as head of youth peer educators, head of community based health care workers and advocacy program officer . Richard is passionate about protecting the safety and rights of women in intimate relationships and he wants to be remembered for being proactive at promoting and protecting the rights of women and children.
