Josephine Kamisya

Josephine, our Senior Program Officer for the National Prevention of Violence Against Women Program holds a BA Honors Degree in Development Studies from Makerere University and is working towards an MA in Peace and Conflict Studies. She has over 10 years of experience in mobilizing communities to promote human rights and to prevent violence against women. Josephine is experienced in strengthening capacity and building motivation of civil society organizations to prevent violence against women in Uganda, she is in charge of the SASA! national rollout.

Josephine is known as a warm and friendly person who helps others to activate their inner happiness and peace at CEDOVIP. She is good at relationship building with all the activists that we work with at the community level, in civil society and government departments.
