Grace Nyaguti is a Program Officer in the Local Activism department at CEDOVIP. She works more directly with communities in Pallisa District. Grace holds a Bachelor Degree in Democracy and Development Studies from Uganda Martyrs University, a Postgraduate Diploma in Project Planning and Management from Uganda Management Institute, certificates in counselling, T.O.T from The AIDS Support Organization (TASO) and Mainstreaming Cross-Cutting issues in development programming from GIZ. She formerly worked with TASO as an HIV/AIDS Counsellor and worked with ActionAid International Uganda as a Psychosocial Support Officer.

She has also worked as a GBV prevention and response officer where she strengthened the capacity of the GBV referral network members and established 3 sub-counties GBV desks in Gogonyo, Opwateta and Apopong in Pallisa district. With this work, Grace mobilized and empowered communities to demand for improved quality social services through advocacy, networking and collaboration with district stakeholders and other Civil Society Organizations.  Through Feminist leadership training, she empowered young Activist to explore their potential for purposes for contributing to community development.

Grace is down to earth person always interested in learning new things and inspiring others, likes working as team, likes building healthy stakeholder relationships at any level and more passionately working with community Activists to preventing Violence against women and girls.
