CEDOVIP is one of the key implementing partners under the Strengthening Uganda’s Response to Gender Equality (SURGE)DFID-UKaid funded program. CEDOVIP’s role under the SUGRE program is to prevent intimate partner violence, Female Genital Mutilation in Moroto and Kween and Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children in Kampala district using the SASA! Approach as well as provide technical assistance to Action Aid International-Uganda and Mifumi to strengthen their VAW prevention programming through application of SASA! In the three (3) districts.
From 19th -21st February, CEDOVIP will and on 21st -23rd February train 30 police officers on skills to provide survivor centered services in their response to Female Genital Mutilation.
