Greetings Partners and Friends of Center for Domestic Violence Prevention (CEDOVIP)
CEDOVIP joins in solidarity with the global and national community to manage and contain the spread of COVID-19. CEDOVIP recognises the importance that all staff and our partners take the initiative to stay safe and protect others. In light of the guidelines from the World Health Organisation (WHO), Government of Uganda, and following the State of National address by the President of Uganda on 17th March 2020, and 22nd March 2020, CEDOVIP is fully embracing the prevention measures in solidarity with the global community.
To ensure well being of the communities we directly interact with, CEDOVIP has undertaken the following measures:
1. Provision of, and sharing of information and guidelines from WHO and the Government of Uganda to staff, and members of the communities CEDOVIP directly works with; and encouraging them to further share the information with their communities
Emphasis is on:
2. Provision of protective materials to improve on safety, and minimise exposure including disposable gloves, disposable masks, and hand spray sanitiser.
3. suspension and postponement of program activities that require direct engagement of persons until the COVID-19 situation is contained.
To ensure continuity of activities implemented by, and ensuring achievement of CEDOVIP’s goals and objectives –(safer communities and health relationships), CEDOVIP will continue to operate virtually:
Thank you for your understanding and support to enable CEDOVIP continue to deliver on its mandate, as much as possible, until the situation permits resumption of active engagements.
Wishing you all the best in this trying period.
Staff and Management of CEDOVIP
